Sueda Taner successfully defended her doctoral thesis!
Congratulations to Sueda Taner for successfully passing her doctoral examination.
Sueda’s doctoral thesis, titled “Norm-Based Optimization for Wireless Communications and Machine Learning,” focuses on three novel norm-based formulations for different applications: (i) a new class of regularizers that can promote custom-designed properties on the solutions of optimization problems, (ii) a new method for peak-to-average power ratio (PAR) reduction for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, and (iii) a new method for learning sparsifying transforms for channel vectors in multi-antenna wireless systems. Sueda Taner joined the IIP Group in August 2019, and she will start working in September 2025 at external page Ericsson as a 6G Standardization Researcher.
