BFO goes Bastli Hack!
Students got to play around with the BFO at Bastli Hack!
Last weekend, Bastli Hack, a hardware-focused hackathon organized by student-led electronics lab AMIV Bastli, took place again. Among other challenges, the participants got to play around with the Big Fourier Oscillator (BFO) ASIC, one of the chips developed in the IIP Group. In the picture, the BFO is used to draw a Lissajous figure on the screen of an analog oscilloscope. The BFO was designed for a different application (i.e., generating aliasing free audio signals), but using this chip in an unconventional way is perfectly suited for the spirit of the Bastli Hack event.
